coil fitting

Hello Karen and Vitaliy,

I got my code working to fit the coils last night.
However, there are a few loss ends. First off there is the
question about what we call the coils, and what we call the
measurement line. I think I worked all that out in my fitter,
but it is confussing, and it would be nice to clean that up
before we move what I thought was coil #3, but Karen thinks
is coil #5, and the crane call coil #10 (serial number).

Secondly I would like to do some more testing of the
code. My test so far is to use nine of the files which
Vitaliy created origianlly to calculate derivatives, and
copy them into "measurement" files. This means I can test
if coil#1 is moved; +5mm x, -5mm x, +5mm y, -5mm y, +5mmz,
-5mm z. These all seem to work. But I have not been able
to see if my rotations are right, if it works for something
which is not 5mm, and if more then one coil is moved.

What I would like is a few more test measurement
files. Perhapes 2 sets of files where I know the answer;

        1) coil#3 moved by +7mm x and -3mm y

        2) coil#4 moved by -3mm x and +5mm y AND
                coil#6 moved by +8mm x and -2mm y

and they a blind test where only Vitaliy knows the answer

        3) one coil moved by ?

        4) two coils moved by ?

        5) ? coils moved by ?

Karen, perhapes you would like to comment on what is
a reasonable range of the moves?

Vitaliy, I know you are in Europe at school, and couldn't
do this until you are back. When are you back? Would this
be a long job?

                                        Tim
