7.22.2 C shift

GOALS: check the timing between right and left (retimingOR - (startmean))
take start counter out of trigger and try to find protons in
             left sector.

The hall was open until about 8pm while Doug and Tong worked on the
wire chambers.
Before closing BLAST we reconnected the start counter and hooked up
the fiber from
the flasher. Beam was available starting around 9pm. We took some
runs, but were
having serious coda issues. The coda rate would go to zero after a
few minutes (or
less) of running. We tried pushing many buttons and restarting
coda,
etc. but to no
avail. We double checked cables in the d-tunnel and things looked
ok. Finally we
tried cycling the power on the ROCs, but then the beam had trouble.
After beam came
back, coda still choked. At the end of the shift, we still don't
know what's wrong,
and didn't manage to get any good runs. On the bright side, ccr
gave us one of the
cool 2-way radio phones with which to contact them.

In the afternoon it was discovered that the blast/bin directory had
been wiped out,
but by the time the hall was closed, Ernie Bisson had called to say
that it had been
restored. runs 808-815 bad (coda rate went to zero)
