Hello,
just a suggestion for when taking data. Vitaly's onlineGui program
described below is now in the path.

It is an advanced online analysis tool which makes use of the full ROOT
package. It books tdc/adc/... histograms for (virtually) all BLAST channels.
Vitaly has implemented the neutron counters today. You have to clear the
histograms by hand (which is proper if we need to cumulate statistics).

In the future we may do many more things

- Add reconstructed variables
- Add the ability to open and save histograms also from already closed runs
- Add comparison with previously booked histograms (golden runs, montecarlo)
- Add more sophisticated variables (i.e. not raw) and possibly expand the
  gui functionality.

Tancredi,
I told you yesturday that I will be able to test the online gui with you
today. However, I forgot that I was going to NY today. At any rate you
can look at it yourself. To run it just type ./onlineGui in
~pro2003/etSpy/src directory. Press a "Start" button in lower left
conner and wait couple of seconds for the first events to come in. Make
sure that you have daq and et running. The neutron bars are not
implimented yet. Let me know if you have any comments, such as 1) Data
being reset when a new run started or some reconstruction (example z)
being available online.

                                                                Cheers,
Vitaliy
