this is what I am talking about:
when a charged particle punched through all the others and fired
NC/LADS, the hit it generates should be identified and associated to the
WC track, not considered a neutron. this is implemented for NC and Michael
certainly has a plan to use NC hits fired by electrons to gain match the
tubes.
after this, we would be left with the NC hits that are likely to be a real
neutron/gamma, we then make a straight line from hit to vertex and call it
a track.
I assume the same must be done for LADS. BATS are different since they
don't cover WC region, so they would only provide a trigger and a
reference point in time to retrieve the absolute time of flight of all
other tracks in the same event.
if a neutron triggered both NC and LADS, we should reconstruct only
one neutral track, instead of one from each hit. some geometry is in order
to see if the NC hit, LADS hit and the vertex can make a straight line.
I will do this, hopefully can have something when we r back from
Christmas.
you and everyone have a merry christmas.
