Plan for overnight is to increase the max beam current to 120mA and run
there, assuming that the dead time is still reasonable. Use the trigger
file newphys_no_C2TOF.settings. We now do NOT require the Cerenkov to fire
on an e,e'n event. The dead time is about 10% at 100mA.
Bill Franklin will work with the Compton laser and collimator to improve
the signal. We won't retune the beam for the Compton tonight. May do that
tomorrow after examining the overnight results.
Since the beam tune is so much better (whether due to slits, scraper or
new collimator), the thought is to run deuterium for another week or two,
rather than switching to hydrogen on 3/16.
