[BLAST_SHIFTS] Shift summary 04/10/2004 D (12-16)

Things have settled down since the beginning of the shift when we had problems
with the trigger and a bad TDC channel for TOF R3. Notes on both are in the
e-log. We have been taking data for the past two hours and things look reasonable. There has been no recurrence of the garbage triggers allueded to
by Tancredi since the trigger was downloaded at 13:00. Runs 6442-6446 have been taken.

One note is that the target cell temperature is rising with beam
current. Presently it is sitting at 110 K which is where it was when I came in.
However, it went down to 103 while we were running reduced current in trying to
diagnose problems and the nominal setpoint is 100. This suggests that the cooling system is not keeping up with heating from the beam. The target
vertex distrbution looks reasonable (no rabbit ears) and the BQM's are
fairly low. But we may want to consider cutting the beam current. Online
analysis of Pbeam*Ptarg is coming out in the .20 - .25 range, and the beam
polarization is still averaging about .65 (plots in e-log).
