[BLAST_ANAWARE] data disks re-mounted on buds

Hello,

ErnieB activated an automount feature and all data disks (/net/data/1-8,
scratch/dblast07 and /scratch/bud24) are again visible from bud01-24.
Unused data disks will umount (every 60 s), but will be available again as
soon as you try to access them.

The default configuration is restored and now the new computers are
available to also crunch data older than March 28. Of course all buds have
been usable since friday for both online crunching and montecarlo (and the
flukaaf data tables are installed on all machines)

I've run again a comparison such as below and get ~50 % faster perfomance
on bud01 w.r.t. spud01 but - admittedly - there is no "neat" way to run
these tests with simply a root macro.

I have re-attached the userlist. Please play by the rules. Note that
user wsgraves will be occasionally run simulations but we agreed that

        i) his jobs are niced
ii) he will not use bud01-14 at any time

regards,
-- tancredi

Subject: oh yes, buds are slow

not that I did not mention "according to nominal performance"....
fortunately there is an easy temporary solution

I ran my little benchmark on bud19 (root -l -b -q charge.C ####)

_ the becnhmark was from spud8 : took 61 s

_ from bud19, all /net/spuds mounted: took 204 s

_ removed all /net/spuds and the /dblast07 nfs mount: took 27 s !!

The temporary solution is to only mount /net/data/4, and bud24 on the
buds. Then they are ~2 times faster as you would expect. You can
still access the analysis/data directories (as I did in the above
benchmark). I have just done the change on all machines

Note: I tried also experimenting with different nfs options (i.e. "soft"
instead or "hard" mounts). We can also play with allowing also "explicit
mounts" with the user, noauto option but over time that may build to the
same problems seen above since you need to umount on edisk, before
mounting another (I guess it will be the way to go...)
