>From today (Wed May 26 - Wed Jun 2) MICHAEL is the run coordinator.
-Status ABS
+One SFT transition found not completely effective
+Increase rf power
+Polarization after 1.5kC still inconclusive
+Density up to 10% higher after realignment
-Discussion about density
+Comparison 60/40cm cell: density scales like 1.8 (calculated).
+ABS: 1.3 (deuterium+hydrogen), unpol: 1.7 (molecular hydrogen)
+Tancredi's results with v14 closed
+Ernie's theory to explain lower ABS number:
inlet tube (teflon) warmer: larger conductance -> less density in cell
-Measurement of unpol target with v14 open required (coming weekend/Monday)
-Injecting at 130 mA, increase to 135 mA
-Now 15% dead at top of fill
-Linear extrapolation would allow for 150mA with 20% deadtime
-Spin angle is now 32deg after increasing longitudinal field. Note that
present Montecarlo results are still for 45 degrees, need to be rerun.
-Plan for tonight is to continue running polarized deuterium at 32 degree spin
angle
Regards,
Michael
