[BLAST_SHIFTS] Shift summary 08/18/2004 B (9-17)

Shift was spent addressing problems with the BLAST power supply. Last night Hamid found a flaky relay preventing DC on. Today the electricians, Ernie Ihloff et. al. replaced all three 3kA fuses on the 480 primary. One fuse had failed last night. The mechanics and electricians also examined the AC switch on the wall to make sure that the contact was fully engaged. This may need further attention during the next Snake fill. The contactors were only partially closed last night which is a likely source of the fuse failure.

Nik is taking over and expecting beam after Franklin and Fuhua tune ring to optimize e beam polarization.
