[BLAST_SHIFTS] Shift summary 08/19/2004 A (1-9)

From: Electronic Log Book (elog@blast05.lns.mit.edu)
Date: Thu Aug 19 2004 - 08:59:33 EDT

Operator: kdow

Smooth running on ABS D2.

Increased injection current to 150 mA, now dumping at 95 mA (lifetime 22 min at 145 mA, 25 min at 95 mA). A few fills had a sudden beam drop that caused HV trips. A small adjustment to the septum scraper dropped the WC scaler rates, took about 1 min off the lifetime. Cell temperature has gone from 93 K to 97 K, presumably due to the increased current. Transmitter 2 problem at the end of the shift.

Wire chamber temperature T1 is in minor high warning, now at 40.47 C (warning began at 40.00 C).

Left FASTBUS ROC required a software reboot once.

Checked onlineGui spectra several times, all are counting except the one LADS 20cm bar that's not instrumented.

Beam polarization 68% after tune adjustments yesterday evening.

Analysis of previous shift complete, RUNLIST-D2.3 and pol.log updated:
1.49 kC
Vector dilution 0.38 +- 0.05 (avg of L and R)
Pzz=0.70 +- 0.14

Good runs this shift 10138-10140, 10142-10155; all crunched or crunching.
LOVE the autocruncher!!!!
