no lr to save disc space, ep_skim is left as empty root files as most runs
recrunched are D2 and UNPOL runs.
it is NOT possible to gather info on total number of hits regardless of
tracks cos this information is simply not in DST.
something can be done to add such information into DST but this will only
start to function after the data are recrunched with lrn to put more bytes
into DST.
