a very frustrating shift due to network problems.
many times tonight, one of the following would happen:
1) ligit would flatline (i.e. no jitter in the compression tube plot picture)
for small periods of time (say 10-30 seconds)
2) the abs transitions would stop
3) the hv daemon would complain about broken pipes and spit out the
following message:
CA.Client.Diagnostic..............................................
Message: "Network connection lost"

i assume they are all somehow network related, which seemed "flaky" all night.
once, the problem manifested itself by stopping the abs transitions. when i attempted to restart the transitions, all the epics screens all went dead. CCR then went through the process for bringing the network back up. it seemed to help initially, but soon after, the "flakiness" came back.
ligit is still "flatlining" occasionally. occasionally, you have to restart the abs transitions. occasionally, when you restart the abs transitions, it complains about not knowing certain epics variables, thus forcing you to keep restarting the transitions when the network flakiness has disappeared.
around 7:20, CCR had a crowbar.
