Operations made some progress reducing the halo rates today, but it came
at the expense of beam lifetime. It was ultimately concluded that the
collimator insert added for the 12 mm target cell should be removed,
so that we will run with the collimator from last year. After some
tests on the ABS are completed in the next hour or two, the target cell
will be warmed up and the collimator insert will be removed first thing
tomorrow morning.
Beam will not be possible tonight and shifts are cancelled until tomorrow
morning at 9:00
