[BLAST_SHIFTS] Daily meeting 2/23

Hi,

Snakes have been filled today, SH is already closed.

There is a power supply of one of the ring devices suspected to be broken,
it is under investigation right now.

Plan is to run at 150-170mA, start with empty target.
Do beam scanning (vary beam position) and monitor BQM rates as to see how
much flexibility there is in the cell in regard of the halo. Also, in
varying the beam current it is studied how the rates evolve with empty
target. See how much can be injected.

There is some indication that the temperature is correlated with the beam
current. If that's the case, the density of the target should be so, too.
In order to learn more about the temperature of the cell, Richard suggests
to correlate the normalized yield as well as the polarization with the
beam current.

CCR is reporting that since Fri 2/18 09:30pm after the 15mm cell had been
put back into place, the spin angle was set to 45 degrees.
This means that the analysis of the beam polarization (see Aaron's
message from yesterday) needs to be redone.

After the tests are complete, polarized D2 running should be resumed.

I am run coordinator for this week.

Regards,

   Michael
