[BLAST_SHIFTS] daily meeting 3/1

From: Michael Kohl (kohlm@mit.edu)
Date: Tue Mar 01 2005 - 15:50:20 EST

Work on ABS will continue until about 5pm. After several hours of pumping,
Genya will set up transitions. When he's done later tonight, he will call
Peter Binns will come in and remove the wire chamber covers.

The wire chamber gas bottles have been replaced this morning.
Snakes have been filled with liquid helium.

Some work on the stands of the leadglass installation has been done. Plan
is to install LG detector during next snake filling. Still, we are
also waiting for the ordered HV cards.

We will start up with polarized Deuterium at ***45*** degrees spin angle.
Since there was no significant polarization difference between the two
settings, the issue of low polarization remains a miracle, however running
on at 32 degrees is no more justified.

Polarizations will be compared to those of runs between Wed 2/23 and
Friday 2/25.

When the covers get removed, make sure the subframes get closed and the
hall lights turned off ...

Regards,

   Michael
