[BLAST_SHIFTS] daily meeting 3/18/5

From: Michael Kohl (kohlm@mit.edu)

Both the vector and tensor polarizations appear to be up now,
hPz is a little lower than first reported, hPz~=0.44, and Pzz~0.8.
The intensity is up, too.

At this time it remains not understood what really caused the polarization
to change.

The wire chamber box R24 had tripoff problems yesterday and last night.
The gas flow was increased because the water had run empty before.
Just now the gas bottles were changed so we can run without interruption
over the weekend.

The beam showed sometimes hickups in a random fashion. Jan will work on it
the next half hour.

Plan is to run polarized ABS-D2 at highest luminosity and polarization.
If possible the beam current should be injected at 225mA o.b.o.

The two open shifts have been filled by Taylan and Doug.

Have a nice weekend

    Michael
