[BLAST_SHIFTS] Shift summary 04/10/2005 B (9-17)

From: Electronic Log Book (elog@blast05.lns.mit.edu)

Smooth run.

Took ABS-D2 data.

Injection current 225mA - lifetime 29-30min - beam polarization 64.9 +- 0.9%

Other than 1-minute HV restart, no interruption at all.

The latest preliminary Pzz result:
   L:0.529 +- 0.031 R:0.448 +- 0.021
for April-9 data.

The only problem:
At the beginning of the shift noticed that there is no flasher event.
Had access to D-tunnel to investigate. Back-traced the signal up to
the raw analog signal that comes from the hall. There is no signal
to start with. Tried to turn on-off-on the flasher via epics remote control.
Did not helped. Learned from Karen that it, in fact, exceeded its expected
lifetime by a factor of 10. Probably it is dead. Decided to wait until
monday to replace the flasher (assuming there is a spare). It should
not effect the data taking and/or data qulity for this relatively
short period of time.

Also noticed (twice) that increase in ligit by about 50% which decays in
time, and then disappears in about 5 seconds. Its effect is clearly visible
by BQMs and beam lifetime. Genya says "it is nothing important."
