The polarized deuterium data taking appeared to have been all right up
until 3:10 PM, when Genya says, "We are taking unpolarized data!" He
finds that the SFT is not working. He investigated it at the South
Hall until1 4:30. He came back to switch the target to the unpol by the
buffer system. So from run # 15280, the data will be unpol
deuterium, which is going to start shortly.
The result of the tensor polarization shows gradual decrease in the
last three days:
4/12, 0.597 +/- 0.064
4/13, 0.375 +/- 0.107
4/14, 0.140 +/- 0.068
However, the vector polarization stays constant around 0.4. I do not
know exactly how this is related to what Genya is saying above,
though. "There is only one state working" is another statement of his.
Because OnlineGui is not working, I checked the last run (run # 15279)
with the root macros Karen suggested (see elog 34950). WC,
TOF(TDC,ADC), NC(TDC,ADC) histograms look all reasonable. Karen says
Chris Crawford is investigating the problem. Chi is also looking at
it.
LG0U and LG1U were off before I came to the shift so they are off
right now, also.
The data taken during my shift are 15271-15273 15275-15279.
