Hi,

there will be *no* meeting on Tuesday 10/11/2005. We will meet again on
10/18/2005, at which time also Taylan is giving his rehearsal talk for the
PANIC conference.

However, no meeting does not mean nothing happens, so here are some infos
on what is happening to keep you uptodate.

-2004/2005 rates
Renee discovered an efficiency whole in the left sector for Tof 6-8.
Further investigations are in order. If it is inefficiency, it should be
visible in the ADC spectra. On the other hand a temperature-dependent
drop of the target density was suggested earlier (Chi and others). The
2004 vs. 2005 rates issue needs to be better understood.

-GEn analysis: EG resumed analysis work after passing class exams. VZ
extracts GEn for given Q2 bins now also as function of theta_cm,
or theta_d. Resolution (missing mass peak) is getting worse towards
higher Q2 (=towards lower momenta and larger angles of the electron).
Question is wether this dependence of resolution is also seen in other
channels d(e,e'p) missing mass or p(e,e') elastic peak. Recrunching is
 needed.

-CC is testing new field map and working on further corrections (geometry
of wire chamber layers). CC had shown that the error in the field cannot
account for all kinematic corrections as they also depend on the sign of
the track's charge. It would be important to see how much of the
kinematic corrections is left with the new map. Recrunching is needed.

-DH is evaluating straight tracks to also address geometry effects. If
CC's wire chamber geometry parameters are backed by straight tracks we
would indeed be very close to the optimum.

-NM and VZ are working on new Montecarlo fixes. The new version
incorporating new features like superponing various channels was
 inconsistent with the old version.

-CZ/YX implemented source code of MAID2003 (which we gratefully
received from its author L. Tiator) into DGen, being tested and compared
to 2001 and 1999 versions and compared with the MAID website.

Regards,

   Michael
