Re: radiated blastmc question

Hey Adrian,
I am not too familiar with the evolved version of Mascarad, but I
believe most of those numbers are relics from
the old FORTRAN code. Since Vitalyi is out of the country:
0.850 is beam energy
0.0 is target momentum, initial
1 is choosing electrons for the beam , as opposed to muons
3 is for the number of kinematic points - bins (mascarad used to bin
everything into large chunks to

get the asymmetries per chunk, in this case 3)
1 is the number of times mascarad has to sample each radiated kinematic
for the hard (?) part
8 was a random seed
100 this also had to do with the Monte Carlo generation
32 was not even read , it was meant to be the spin angle, which you now
set by running dgen etc

the :
10000 10000 10000
were again samples for the three radiation variables used in Afanasev's
formulation and had to be run as
Monte Carlo.
1 5 0 0
Here the only number that we could change in the current MASCARAD
version is 5. I think Chris created this
as a switch to select the spin angle. 1 through 4 would select
perpendicular or parallel kinematics. I dont think
this is used at all.

In Init.dt
//Init.dt:
1.0 0.01 0.0 0.0 //cutm (0.1,0.15,0.2,0.25)
-0.1 -0.1625 -0.225 -0.2875 //ymasmin
-0.1625 -0.225 -0.2875 -0.35 //ymasmax
0 0.01 0.99 1 //phrmas

the first line was presumably setting a cutoff for the hard- soft
separation...as far as I remember we used to set this
to the detector resolution or something of that order. The other three
lines I couldnt see used anywhere anymore.

To sum up, unless Vitalyi or Chris or someone remember otherwise, most
of these if not all you dont need to worry
about...All of these are still used in the FORTRAN version of course,
but I am assuming you are running the .cc...
