scheduling computer downtime

Blast people -

We need to take natasha (/home/blast, /home/daq, /home/oops) offline for a
few hours to reconfigure disk space. This will make your home directories
inaccessible for that time. You will not be able to log in, and existing
sessions will not be usable.

I took the system down briefly yesterday after suspending all of the
active ROOT jobs I could find. There were no obvious adverse effects.

We can take the same approach for the longer shutdown, or we can arrange a
time when no one will be running any analysis jobs. This needs to be done
this week, preferably this afternoon or tomorrow.

I realize this is very short notice. Please let me know your thoughts on
this as soon as possible.
