the problem is that you are working with the new development version,
which is in haitus right now, until aaron finishes adapting everything to
his geometry classes.
i think for now, you want to work on the stable release '-r v2' (see my
email on last monday). it is a branch, so that you can check in any changes
you needed to make it compatible with dartmouthese. we can later merge
these also into the main trunk (in development).
