[BLAST_SHIFTS] Evening Shift Summary 10-16-02

From: Peter Karpius (karpiusp@einstein.unh.edu)
Date: Thu Oct 17 2002 - 00:28:09 EDT

The shift started with testing the gas system with a successful flowing of
gas into the target.

Checked TDC cables - they seemed fine.

Left Neutron Wall signals were verified on the scope for all 16 pmts.
With scope on "average mode" all tubes gave approx 200mV signals with
about 3~4 at 500-600mV. The analog cables were then plugged into the
splitter tray.

2130 91mA in ring no gas, CCR asked for gas, 1 SCCM was issued and tuning
continued.

Beam given to us just around 2200

Run 2176 trigger: any_coincs_lowt.settings 98K
had to adjust flaky connectors on RTOP0 and 1

very low rate (.5 Hz) for RTOP16
saw avg scope signal of 26mV --> possible optical problem?

Run 2177 trigger: any_coincs_lowt.settings 100K

Started analyzing data and saw most events in the 4-7,8-11 detector groups
with very few events in the forward angle.

New trigger: elastic_tof12-15.settings (31mV thresh) 11k

Run 2178 10K: seeing events in forward angle as expected and seeing some
coincidence through phi-phi correlation

CODA not responding gave us troubles, reset and back on track

Run 2180 11K

Tavi is here and ready to go!
