[BLAST_SHIFTS] summary 10-23 day - plan for tonight

_ Gain matching the TOF's with cosmics is proceeding well and is the first
priority. Finish the +1500 and +1300 settings.

_ Make sure you save all HV info in a TOF_1300 and TOF_1500.sql file, and
that that info is entered correctly ! (logbook?)

_ After the above is finished, take 4 cosmic runs for different cerenkov's
HV, for a given tof HV setting (either one is fine). For the C, try the
"default settings", the same with all hv up by +10%, the "factory
recommended setting", the same with all hv up by 10%. The cerenkov voltages
  for this are in ~/commis/hv/hv_defaults.cerenkov

_ After the four Cerenkov runs, take a long cosmic run for the other HV setting

_ Put all HV off and turn beam to CCR (go home!)

Analysis:
==========

We should start plotting pedestal subtracted ADC's, this needs upgrading
plot_adc_ntp.C so as to find, save (to file) and subtract the pedestals.
The ADC range after pedestal subtraction is 0-8192. Pedestal files could
be archived as tof_pedestal.xxxx (or something like that!)

String together the four Cerenkov runs, and the last tof cosmic run for a
final higher statistics/double-check analysis

Analyse the stability of pedestals and ideal MPV value. Note the spread
may be up to 100 channels.

Write your conclusions. Put summary plots in the logbook !

regards,
