While troubleshooting the missing ADC/TDC's we have found the following:
We verified with the scope that the ADC gates and TDC starts are good at
the input to the backplane connectors. Also all ADC/TDC stop cables are
connected properly.
We then unplugged all gates and starts (including WC's) from both Fastbus
crates. With both power supplies running we saw no gates/starts for the R
sector as indicated by the lack of flashing lights on the individual
modules. We did, however, see the L sector modules flashing albeit with a
frequency much lower than the cosmic trigger rate (manifested by the flash
rate on the TS)
*** When the RIGHT Fastbus power supply was turned off, this anomalous
LEFT gate flashing stopped!***
When all gates/starts are connected to both sectors we see a flashing rate
on the Right that is comparable with the TS but on the Left we only saw
the low rate which we saw with no gates/starts connected.
So it looks like the Right Fastbus Power Supply is affecting the Left
Fastbus crate. It is unclear if the converse is true.
The R Fastbus PS is new and was connected on Friday. But the problem was
not noticed until last night.
