[BLAST_ANAWARE] Error in blastmc

when I run fort.38 file that I check out from cvs I get the following error:

 Reading in B-field from: bgrid.blast
 mag field format #1
 ***** ERROR in HFNT bad float in column: 4 line: 1 :
Quiet NaN : ID= 1
 ***** ERROR in HFNT bad float in column: 5 line: 1 :
Quiet NaN : ID= 1

Does anyone have any idea what this is all about.
