There were intermittent problems with the beam all shift. First there was
a tranmitter "crowbar", and beam came back at 20:00. A number of times,
beam was given back to CCR for tuning mostly for injection problems and
once as the BQM rates were high. At 23:40 there was a problem with the
polarized source which will take a 1/2 hour to an hour. We managed to
take two runs with unpolarized hydrogen, 572 and 573.

The WC crates tripped repeatedly all evening. At one time it tripped
almost once per minute. Doug said that this is could be due to the
background, and keep pushing the oper button to restore the HV. He said
that this problem could also be due to a bad wire, which can be checked by
using the
 lWCHV st ; rWCHV st
command. If this is the case, the problem will repeat in the same area
of the wire chambers.

PK and BC.
