[BLAST_SHIFTS] A-shift

At beginning of shift the plan was to run unpol H2 with field off to look
for straight tracks. But the WC HV kept tripping so at the end of the C
shift they switched to field ON unpol deuterium.

We checked I_cutoff at 60mA and it looked optimal so we left it as such.

CCR had transmitter crowbar ~0120, back on line ~0215

WC signal:noise for run 603 was ~3:1 worst case

WC trip frequency increased to about 1/60 Hz so we called Adam @ 0300
He said that we could set the channels that were tripping to zero and
explained how to do this.

We set WC HV channels L29, R5, R24, R30 to zero over a period of about an
hour. This seemed to significantly reduce the trip frequency.

WC signal:noise for run 607 only showed a slight degradation but was now
about 2.9:1 worst case. This was late in the shift and it was
questionable as to whether we should shut down the wire chambers to
dissipate the space charge.

Just before the end of shift (after run 609) the decision was made to shut
down the WC HV.
