[BLAST_ANAWARE] modifications to init.C

hi,
  i made some modifications to '~blast/pro2003/analysis/utils/init.C' to
bring it up to the most up-to-date version, however i did not test it.
 if it does not work (ie. any of the scripts that use it), please let me
know, and i will fix it up. if needed, you can revert to the backup
'init~.C'
