no beam tonight.
Hall was closed after ABS work was completed. Target was ready to flow by about 9pm, but alas no beam. around 11pm CCR reported problems with the polarized source which can't be repaired until tomorrow. so no beam for the next shift either.
some target notes: at the request of EI, the BLAST torroid was ramped down to check the behavior of IG6 (compression tube) with the field on and off. pressure before ramping was 1.6e-7, during ramp this rose to about 2.2e-7, but once the field was zeroed, IG6 returned to 1.6e-7. so the static value of IG6 is the same with field on and off. started flowing gas to the target around 11pm so that HK could initiate an MFT scan (this is still running at press time).
