[BLAST_SHIFTS] Shift summary 03/01/2004 D (12-16)

This is the summary I never wrote for yesterday.

Continued running unpolarised D up to run 5223.

Made a test with teh spin flipper. It worked, then Taylan turned it off again.

Ran with empty target for runs 5224-5225

Then performed a number of runs with various detector and magnet settings to try to understand the source of the numerous positrons in the left sector:

Run 5226 - Ohio and LADS detectors off
Run 5228 - Ohio on and LADS off
Run 5229 - Ohio on, forward LADS off, backward LADS on
Run 5230 - Everything on again
Run 5231 - Transverse hgolding field off
Run 5232 - Transverse and longitudinal holding field off

Turned of BLAST toroid and left as it was taking a long time to re-establish the beam tune.

Plan for rest of night was to take one run with zero field and unpolarised D2 and then switch to unpolarised H2 with zero field for calibration data.
