[BLAST_SHIFTS] tensor polarization results

Yesterday at the daily meeting Genya showed results for vector and tensor
target polarization since mid-February. The vector polarization is
derived from (e.e'p) by Vitaliy and is consistent with about 70%. On one
side the tensor polarization derived from (e,e'd) elastic is consistent
with the vector and has a value also of about 70%. However, on the other
detector side the tensor polarization is only about 20%, i.e. the observed
asymmetry (though consistent over time) is about a factor of three to four
lower than the expectation. As Genya said there are three possibilities:

- there is a problem with the analysis
I believe there are other analyses in progress. What do you see?

- there is a problem with the measurement

- there is a problem with the prediction for one side

Any thoughts on this would be welcome. It struck me that if we revesre
the transverse component of the target holding field, then left <-> right
and we should see asymmetries change side. Any comments?

Richard
