Shift was devoted to investigation of the beam polarization with empty target as we await replacement controller for ABS turbo. Problems getting beam due to failure of the transverse holding field power supply and BLAST trim coils delayed turn on of beam. Beam in ring around 9:30-10:00. Ran with injection tune which is somewhat better aligned with calorimeter detector than storage tune where
we see very few backscattered photons. Unfortunately lifetime and halo are
very bad. Didn't have time to optimize this, just ran, filling to 50 mA.

After some intial scatter in data, polarization results gradually converged to canonical figure of 0.67. Pretty consistent with what has been seen all the way along.

Stopping measurements to start warming up cell. Will look to move Compton detector vertically downward tomorrow prior to resumption of running with storage tune.
