_ ABS vacuum will be reconnected starting tomorrow. Expect target
install/tuning to continue up to saturday afternoon
_ In the meantime we should run unpol H2, for calibrations, spin flipping
(d2) states for false asymmetries. Both nik and aki on shift tonight.
Ligit should be 1/sqrt(2) ABS flow (6.6E-8 ?) for ~ equal target
thickness. If chambers allow higher target thickness
- BillF shows snake/spin tune study results obtained with flipper
overnight. Spin tune where we want (close 1/2). Also, a feedback
of the compton rate been made available to CCR. This resulted in
a speedier tune for compon pol. Calorimeter rate back to ~ 1 KHz/mA
This gives us a chance to arrive at a tune for both compton and
experiment.
_ Note: a problem with unpol buffer system was solved (roughing pump not
pumping ...). Buffer system should operate well tonight
