[BLAST_SHIFTS] Shift summary 07/26/2004 A (1-9)

From: Electronic Log Book (elog@blast05.lns.mit.edu)
Date: Mon Jul 26 2004 - 08:56:20 EDT

Operator: karpiusp

Shift quiet at the start with only one trip to D-tunnel to reset SFI

Then around middle of shift L32 started tripping non-stop. Both sense and field wire trip. Tried lowering the voltage on both. Even at 100V below default setpoint the tripping was continuous. HV would not even be able to ramp to DV before L32 tripped.

Left a message with DH.

After more efforts decided to shut off WC's and not take data for an hour.

As soon as WC's came back on L32 started tripping immediately - could be a broken wire???

Near end of shift - Aaron came in and believes indeed it could be a broken wire. Called CCR for an access just before 0900

Only run 9418 was affected by this - no data was taken after that.
