better late than never.
Pete opened the valve on gas feed line to left chamber to 5 degrees at
about 17:00. started to take data with left WC HV on since then. right
chamber TDC spectra look nice. left sector is a mess. left sector WC tdc
spectra got worse with time. at 22:00, hall access to open to valve to 10
degree position. come back to continue taking data. left tdc spectra did
not improve, right tdc spectra did not turn worse.
at 1am, talked to Aaron who is on next shift about the situation. he
agreed the left WC tdc spectra is degrading since 17:00. but he also
pointed out that the increased gas flow into left chambers may not have
had enough time to flush the staled gas yet.
Boy, the valve is hard to reach and adjust. something better has to be
done.
