Shift was mostly devoted to beam tuning. Significant progress was made in
reducing beam halo and BQMs are now running at levels close to those of
last year for low currents (50 mA). There is still a nonlinear rise in halo rates
when current is increased to 100 mA and lifetime is generally low at beginning of
a fill, gradually increasing to 25 minutes. Two empty target runs were taken and
sent to the cruncher.
At 8:00, tuning began on the ABS and beam was stopped.
