[BLAST_SHIFTS] daily meeting 3/23/5

If you are on shift, then please read this. Otherwise, read it, too.

The oilpump of transmitter 6 broke early this morning. A spare was
available and the repair took until ~3pm. Snakes have been filled today.

The leadglass detector has been attached to the high voltage supplies
which are now complete. The HVGUI was updated by Adam.
The +40mV DC offset issue has been resolved, it was in fact not real but
only introduced by the signal generator. The leadglass signals are fed
into ADC channels. At present we will have no TDC information for LG.
Adding another discriminator module into the VME crate seems to exceed the
load. At this time, we'll start to run only with ADCs.
Voltages have been chosen according to the coarse gainmatching
with cosmics on the scope in January. Will need to refine this.

>From now on, we should run with the leadglass turned on (lower-right
button in the panel for the wire chamber crate).
If the LG detector negatively interferes with the current running, it
should be turned off and I should be informed.

Polarizations appear to be high (>70% for both vector and tensor).
>From looking with show_deep_asym_all_47.C at runs 14550-14551, the target
density is about 80% of what it was before last weekend, but this may be
due to the early phase of the cycle.
Aaron should provide a more precise value of hPz for the recent running.

We're ready to run polarized deuterium at highest available current
(225mA). A good tune should be achieved as it affects the rate of acquired
data a lot (up to a factor 2). Though deadtime is not an issue, it just
takes more diskspace and cpu time to analyze.

Regards,

    Michael
