Hi,
please find the minutes of last Wednesday's analysis meeting below

Best regards

Minutes of the BLAST analysis meeting on 8/29/2007 at Bates

In June it was decided to split the tasks of presenting the results for
GEn, and of extracting the charge distribution of the nucleon, into two
separate papers (letters).

MK worked on draft paper for GEn
-Sent draft to shortlist of people on August 17
-Copied files to DRAFTS folder on BLAST website
  (http://blast.lns.mit.edu/PRIVATE_RESULTS/USEFUL/DRAFTS/GEn)
-New plots for Fig.1 (Asymmetry), Fig. 2 (Yield), Fig. 3 (GEn)
-Introduced discussion about FSI validation with tensor asymmetries
-GEn: BLAST fit = 2 dipoles, confront with Mainz fit, could provide
  chi2/dof
-Used the same GMn parameterization for all experiments
-Include hPz from A_par in (e,e'n)

To do list
Shortening
Revise introduction
Which theory curves to be shown
Finalize plots/values:
Eugene:
+will generate root file for 47 degree MC, shift GEn=0 curve
+will produce hPz from (e,e'n) for 47 degree data
+will check final numbers for GEn
+will provide numbers for charge, current etc.
Chris:
+generate MC with free neutron, to be added to AedV plot
Adam:
+to specify values, stat. and system. errors on hPz from 2004 and 2005
Michael:
  +control/manage files
  +colorize/beautify figures
+summarize systematics quantitatively: hPz and theta*
+to resume work on it on Tuesday 9/4 after J-PARC meeting at
   Saskatoon
+envision revised draft by Thursday 9/6 to be sent to
   collboration/steering committee BEFORE collaboration meeting

Chris presenting overview of literature on nucleon charge distributions
Discussed issue of transformation from Breit to rest frame, this matters
  mostly for high-Q2
Subject of the paper should rather be to provide Fourier transform in
Breit frame, trying various parameterizations of the data
(Fourier-Bessel, Sum-of-Gaussians, etc.), quantitatively with error bands

Adam presenting current status of systematic error progression in hPz.
Effects of kinematic corrections on systematics, dependence of hPz on
target angle; hPz dependence on potential model. Discussing background
  correction.

Collaboration meeting on Mon 9/10 09:00 at LNS (Kolker room 26-414)
Agenda will be sent out soon
Reviews of GEn paper and nucleon charge distribution paper
  Quasielastic d(e,e'p), hPz, systematics
Review of results from pion production channels
  BLAST@DORIS
Goals for remainder of the year
