Shift: 00:00-8:00 (07/26)
Shift workers: DD, MH
Summary:

Continued with collecting energy spectra for different current absorber
thickness, this time with pockell cell HV turned OFF. The false asymmetry
seems to be gone. But the statistics of these runs were poor. We suspected
the laser was not exactly centered on the electron beam. Performed a
fullscan to recenter the beam and indeed the beam position was
quite different. Repeated part of the current/absorber scan. Confirmed the
false asymmetry was no longer there. Seems like the pockell cell is
responsible for the false asymmetry. More tests to be done on the next
Compton shift later tonight.
