Adrian,

   Accidentals can be effectively eliminated by using fairly
tight cuts on the appropriate TDCs. We know that we were
getting 90-93% a week ago on the runs without the small
paddles that you, Chi, and Tancredi were looking at. Using
the small paddle cannot make the efficiency lower unless
the noise that you mention becomes a dominant contribution.
But noise is randomly distributed in time while the "good"
events are tightly correlated in time. So ADC cuts are good,
but you want to add TDC cuts.
