[BLAST_SHIFTS] SUMMARY Evening Shift 11/08/02

Being that the TOF's were seemingly in working order the shift began with
an attempt at a flasher run to test the tdc_offset code.

flasherTOF.settings produced no phys trigger and this was not resolved.
flasher.settings trigger was tried with a make-shift setup running the
analog photodiode signal into a level translator then a twisted pair to
the flasher XMLU input. This gave us the 9 Hz flasher trigger but the
coda rate was 800Hz+. Why would the coda rate be different from the phys
trigger rate by so much?

Per TB, left flasher for tomorrow.

Created trigger "elastic_tof_first4_last8.settings"

Disconnected the LNC, RNC, Vert NC from the sector MLUs and XMLU.

Copied show_tdc_nc.C to show_tdc_nc2.C so that it could be modified
to include dual good tdc cuts and plot tdc diffs and avgs as well. Also,
plotting NC tdcs cut on TOFs is in the plan - but this seems to be
difficult to do with our current code as you can not cut on one ntuple
element with an element from another. Vitaliy gave a suggestion of
putting tof tdcs into the NC ntuple "neut". I am not sure if there would
be enough room in "neut" but then again we don't need ALL tof tdcs in
there.

Beam came at 2145 and slit optimization began.
The final slit settings were very close to last night's settings only
backing off Top by 0.5mm as it began to affect the lifetime.
With 0 SCCM and the anycoincs.settings trigger
our normalized rates were:

1700Hz/53mA slits all the way out
185Hz/44.5mA optimal slit position

RUN 2679: elastic_tof_first4_last8.settings, 150K

RUN 2680: elastic_tof_first4_last8.settings (JUNK- CODA restart)

RUN 2681: elastic_tof_first4_last8.settings - still going at end of shift
