Thanks for your help Eugene. I have been working with d2eep_flrn.C runs
however just to get a handle on what available paddle combos are the best.
I know that this does not include filter.h but I assume that I can do
that once I am satisfied that this is the way to go. Anyway, I used all
available d2eep runs from 1400-1700 (many missing but still a lot of data)
and looped through the bins to find the ep combos with the most events.
Unfortunately I am seeing nothing (as expected?) at paddle 0. The summary
of this work is provided below, the plot is attached. I will speak to you
more about this on Friday.

(OK some of this obviously does not make sense such as the
forward-forward combos but I have to clean that up)

 Left Sector Proton paddle combinations:

proton paddle = 0 electron paddle = -99 no. of ep events = 0
proton paddle = 1 electron paddle = 5 no. of ep events = 1
proton paddle = 2 electron paddle = 0 no. of ep events = 1
proton paddle = 3 electron paddle = 0 no. of ep events = 1
proton paddle = 4 electron paddle = 5 no. of ep events = 10
proton paddle = 5 electron paddle = 2 no. of ep events = 7
proton paddle = 6 electron paddle = 14 no. of ep events = 41
proton paddle = 7 electron paddle = 1 no. of ep events = 53
proton paddle = 8 electron paddle = 11 no. of ep events = 186
proton paddle = 9 electron paddle = 10 no. of ep events = 776
proton paddle = 10 electron paddle = 7 no. of ep events = 1314
proton paddle = 11 electron paddle = 7 no. of ep events = 2705
proton paddle = 12 electron paddle = 5 no. of ep events = 5422
proton paddle = 13 electron paddle = 3 no. of ep events = 9426
proton paddle = 14 electron paddle = 1 no. of ep events = 19333
proton paddle = 15 electron paddle = 0 no. of ep events = 25738

 Right Sector Proton paddle combinations:

proton paddle = 0 electron paddle = -99 no. of ep events = 0
proton paddle = 1 electron paddle = 0 no. of ep events = 1
proton paddle = 2 electron paddle = 3 no. of ep events = 1
proton paddle = 3 electron paddle = 6 no. of ep events = 1
proton paddle = 4 electron paddle = 2 no. of ep events = 8
proton paddle = 5 electron paddle = 1 no. of ep events = 12
proton paddle = 6 electron paddle = 14 no. of ep events = 54
proton paddle = 7 electron paddle = 13 no. of ep events = 120
proton paddle = 8 electron paddle = 12 no. of ep events = 354
proton paddle = 9 electron paddle = 11 no. of ep events = 956
proton paddle = 10 electron paddle = 7 no. of ep events = 1563
proton paddle = 11 electron paddle = 5 no. of ep events = 2294
proton paddle = 12 electron paddle = 4 no. of ep events = 4789
proton paddle = 13 electron paddle = 2 no. of ep events = 11399
proton paddle = 14 electron paddle = 2 no. of ep events = 19722
proton paddle = 15 electron paddle = 0 no. of ep events = 22933
