The program of the shift was not quite accomplished. Several incidents
produced delays, including ring RF failure and some ABS-related issues.
One of the electrostatic lenses in Ion Polarimeter sparks inside vacuum.
We had to lower all the voltages on IP, and it might affect the performance of
the polarimeter.
Also (as Vitalij already wrote in his message) we found that all power supplies
for RF transition units were tripped off, for a couple of days. It took a while
to sort it out.
I got one clear result: with 6poles out the signal (both mass 2 and mass 4 drops
by at least factor of 5-6.
I also noted that one of the MFT transitions isn't tuned well. In fact, LIGIT
didn't go down at all with this transition on. I changed the static field for this
transition from 6.4 to 7 , and now it works, but still not very effectively.
As a result, the target intensity will be somewhat different in these states. I
left a message for Hauke, may be he'll be able to come during the weekend and try
to tune the transitions better.
